Steps

Step One: You will become familiar with facts in the Harlem Renaissance.

Step Two: Search through the websites to complete questions one through five. All questions can be answered through the web sites.

Step Three: Select groups of three to five to complete the group activity. As a group, you will gather the pieces you chose and highlight them in a Power Point presentation. You will want to give some brief background information on the authors, artists, and musicians before you present. Remember to include an explanation for why you feel this piece is an important contribution to The Harlem Renaissance. Be sure to site your resources in the Power Point.

Step Four: Be prepared for your presentation to the class on your assigned day.

Questions

Questions One through five, you will be working individually to gather information. These questions must be completed before the group work begins.

Question Six is a group activity. Question six is a power point presentation. You must select a team of no more than five individuals to complete the project.
